Embracing Life is a call for action to reduce suicide by sharing the strengths of communities and working together through health promotion, suicide prevention, intervention and post-vention. The Embracing Life Committee believes that we all share responsibility and have a role to play when it comes to health promotion and suicide prevention.
After a successful workshop and a series of very successful projects that were funded through the Embracing Life initiative, the Embracing Life Committee is looking to extend our reach into northern Saskatchewan communities. Our goal is to raise awareness of the work that is underway and the help that is available for suicide prevention, intervention, and post-vention. One of the ways we are trying to do this is to share our website. The Embracing Life website - http://www.embracinglifesk.com/ - shares the outcomes of the Embracing Life Workshop, Embracing Life Projects and provides links that offer resources on the topic of suicide prevention.
